JAMMU, Oct 11: J&K PDC ‘A’ and Jhelum Sports registered wins over their rivals to advance in the ongoing J&K Bank Football League Tournament 2012, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, here.
In the first match, J&K PDC ‘A’ thrashed Young Maharaja by eight goals to nil (8-0) to move into the next round. Bilal and Amir scored hat-tricks. Bilal netted goals in 4th, 43rd and 58th minute of the match, Amir scored goals in 34th, 76th and 78th minute of the match. Adnan and Urfan scored one goal each for the winners. For Young Maharaja, Shabir scored the lone goal in 14th minute.
In another match, Jhelum Sports outplayed Safalo ‘A’ by a solitary goal in a hard fought contest. Shabir Dar scored a brilliant goal in 13th minute of the match.
JKP ‘B’ will take on Jahangir Sports, while Food and Supplies will face Maharaja Sports on Saturday as the matches scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed for a day due to hartal.
