JAMMU, Jan 7: JK Montessorie Sr Secondary School celebrated Annual Day on the theme “We are the World” at the Auditorium of Abhinav theatre, here today.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly was the chief guest on the occasion, while MLC Vivod Gupta was the guest of honour.
ID Soni State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides was also present on the occasion.
Chairman of the School, Prof Mohd Ayub presented the welcome address while Managing Director of the School, Sanjeev Gupta and Director Academics, Rajni Gupta were also present on the occasion.
The Annual Day begin with Saraswati Vandana followed by the lighting of traditional lamp by the dignitaries. Spectacular performance by the students showcased the cultural heritage of our country.
In first segment of prize distribution alumni of the school, distinctive performers of sports at international, national and state levels were presented with trophies and mementoes.
In the second segment meritorious performers in schools and district toppers of board classes were honoured.
The chief guest in his speech applauded the staff and students of JKMS for putting up such a grand show and lauded the trusties for excellent approach toward imparting quality education
Principal of the school Geeta Dixit presented the annual report.
The event was concluded with vote of thanks presented by HR Manager, Pankaj Jamwal .
