JAMMU, July 22: The Senior and Masters Kickboxing Team of Jammu & Kashmir delivered a stellar performance at the WAKO India Senior & Masters National Kickboxing Championship 2025, held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. A contingent of 10 athletes represented the Union Territory and returned with an impressive haul of 3 Gold and 4 Bronze medals. The team was guided by official coaches Sudarshan Singh and Irfan Choudhary. Gold medals were secured by Syed Mohammad Aazim, Munish and Meenakshi, while Priyanka Thakur, Vidhyuta Sharma, Manik Singh Manhas and Kanav Dogra earned Bronze.
On their return, the medallists were warmly received by Abhishek Jain, General Secretary of the Kickboxing Association of J&K, who congratulated them on their success. Vice President Gorav Chopra also praised their efforts and reiterated the association’s commitment to promoting kickboxing across the region.
