JAMMU, Aug 30: The screening for the J&K Junior Basketball teams (men and women) for the 75th Junior National Basketball Championship was conducted at MA Stadium, here today.
The selection process was overseen by Divisional Sports Officer Sat Pal Singh, along with Sports Council Physiotherapist Dr. Jagandeep Singh. Key officials from the J&K Basketball Association, including President Dr. Vikram Handa, Secretary General Aman Sharma and Vice President Ashok Singh Jamwal, were also present.
After a thorough selection, the following players were chosen: Men’s Team: Abhirath Sharma, Manish Yadav, Anees Mehmood, Neeraj Choudhary, Vishal Choudhary, Akshit Gupta, Shivam Patel, Mikael Ali, Mohd Kayaan, Devaj Anand, Mohit Kattel and Rehan. Head Coach: Sachin Dogra.
Women’s Team: Shruti Chib, Shallu Thakur, Ipshita, Sanjvi Gupta, Akula Punj, Niyti Singh, Jasjeet Kour, Vibhuti, Ananya Bandral, Mahi Kour, Samreen Kour and Ritika Chib. Head Coach: Sushma Jamwal and Manager: Manoj Kumar. The selected teams are set to represent J&K at the Junior National Championship, preparing for the competition ahead.
