JAMMU, Apr 24: Jammu and Kashmir today qualified for the knock-out stages of quarterfinals in the ongoing 27th Mini National Volleyball Championship at Shirdi in Maharashtra.
Earlier, after winning four out of the five league matches, J&K reached the knock-out stages, reports reaching here said.
Earlier, the pool-D matches were completed on the fourth day of the competition with J&K at second place. In their last pool match, J&K lost to West Bengal 3-1 (25-18, 12-25, 20-25, 19-25). The fourth match of the pool won by J&K outplaying Puducherry 3-1 (25-13, 19-25, 31-29, 25-14). Aman Khajuria, Harshit Raina, Nittin Sharma and Arayan Rakwal played excellent game to register a simple won.
Earlier, J&K outplayed Bihar in a close contest 3-2 (30-28, 25-23, 15-25, 24-26, 15-11), Himachal Pradesh by straight 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-17) and Kerala by 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-17, 25-13).
