JAMMU, Dec 14: The poor show of Jammu and Kashmir batsmen continued as J&K were struggling at 110/7 in 43 overs after Mumbai rode on Ayaz Khan’s double century to score a huge total of 555/9 in 135 overs before declaring their first innings against J&K on day-2 of the ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy match at YS Rsjasekhara Reddy ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium, Vizag.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight total of 365/6, Mumbai batsmen continued toying with J&K bowlers and scored a huge total of 555 runs. Ayaz Khan was in sublime touch and scored massive 205 runs off 217 deliveries, sending all the bowlers on a leather-hunt. Himanshu also scored unbeaten 52 runs, while Amanullah Manihar and Suryansh Shadhe contributed 31 and 30 runs respectively. For J&K, skipper Mohammad Manzir captured 5 wickets by conceding 135 runs in 31 overs, while Manit bagged 2 wickets by giving away 46 runs in 15 overs. Nityam claimed 1 wicket by conceding 123 runs in his 30 overs.
In reply, J& K were struggling at 110/7 at stumps on day-2 today. Abid Hussain scored 26 runs, while Shivansh unbeaten (19), Manzir (16) and Achintya Khajuria (15) were the other contributors. For Mumbai Amanullah Manihar took 4 wickets by giving away 24 runs in his 15 overs, while Suryansh Shadge bagged 2 wickets and Himanshu claimed one wicket.
