JAMMU, Dec 10: J&K Bank Academy and Sports Saviour registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing 13th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
In the first match, J&K Bank Academy defeated J&K SRTC by two goals to nil (2-0), while in another match, Sports Saviour registered a solitary goal win against United Punjab Pathankot.
The matches were ofiiciated by Suresh Gupta, Dheeraj Meenia, Dil Bahadur, Ajay Singh, Abhishek and Rahul Sharma.
In tomorrow’s fixture, J&K PDC will take on Clemart FC at 3 pm.
Prominent among others who witnessed the matches were Kewal Krishan Sharma (PRO to Chairman J&K Bank), Sh. Abdul Majid Kakru (International Player), Sebastian, SM Gill (Ex. MLC), David Masih, Yusuf Don (Organizing Secretary), Feastus Sotra and Narinder Gupta (Chairman DFA and Former Member Sports Council).
