Jawaharlal Nehru Science, Mathematics, Environment Exhibition concludes

JAMMU, Dec 3: Two days long 30th District Level Jawaharlal Nehru Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition, organized by DIET Jammu at Government Model Middle School Satwari concluded, here today.
Ch. R A Inqlabi, Director School Education Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion whereas HR Pakhroo, Joint Director, Trainings, Principal SIE was guest of honour.
The chief guest was highly impressed by the hard work put in by the students in the Exhibition and appreciated their scientific skills and talent on the occasion.
A total of 100 exhibits were displayed in this exhibition by the students drawn from every different parts of the district comprising of elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools.
At elementary level, Govt. MS Domana bagged first prize, while Government BMS Old Janipur won second place and Government GMS Patta Bohri claimed third spot.
At secondary level, Government HS Badyal Quazia, GGHSS Canal Road and GGHSS Bakshi Nagar bagged first, second and third positions respectively, while at higher secondary level, Government HSS Bhalwal, GGHSS Shastri Nagar and SRML HSS Jammu bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
Earlier, Mohinder Singh, Principal DIET Jammu presented welcome address and highlighted the achievements of DIET. Omesh Khar, HoD DIET Jammu presented vote of thanks.
Later, Director School Education distributed prizes among the winners.
Ashok Sharma, Sr Lecturer DIET Jammu and Prtibha Gupta conducted the proceedings of the programme.
