Jandial Warriors crushes Supply Club Akhnoor, sails in quarterfinal round

JAMMU, June 24: Jandial Warriors crushed Supply Club Akhnoor by 3 wickets and sailed in the quarterfinal round of the ongoing 8th Pawan Memorial Cricket Tourney, being organized by Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor and AYC Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor.
Batting first, Supply Club Akhnoor made 154 runs for all out in 20 overs. Rahul Kumar played a splendid inning of 67 runs in 31 balls, while Raj Kumar made 20 runs and Mohinder scored 17 runs.
From Jandial Warriors side, Pankaj and Kali scalped 2 wickets each, while Rajiv and Joginder took one wicket each.
In the second inning, Jandial Warriors cashed the target for the loss of 7 wickets in 18 overs. Ranjit was the top scorer with 48 runs, while Pankaj made 27 runs and Jinder chipped in 20 runs.
From Supply Club side, Bunty scalped 3 wickets, while Rahul took 2 wickets and Akash clinched one wicket.
Pankaj of Jandial Warriors was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Dayal Singh as umpires, while Ashu maintained the scorecard.
In tomorrow fixture, Rajouri Club will take on Singh Bataira.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President, Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor.
