JAMMU, June 15: The three wickets haul by Captain Vivek Suri, followed by match winning knock of 67 runs off 43 balls by Amar Pawaria registered six wickets victory over BCC by Jammu United Cricket Club (Jammu United CC) in the inaugural match of KC Summer Cup T-20 Tournament, being played at KC Sports Ground, here today.
Earlier, BCC led by Kapil won the toss and opted to bat first. The BCC batsmen started their innings on a cautious note as four catches were dropped by Jammu United players in the initial phase but Kapil played a captain knock of 51 runs and was ably supported by Farooq who made 31 runs during the first inning.
However, the BCC was heading for a formidable total but brilliant spells by Jammu United bowlers with the help of captain, Vivek Suri who took three wickets, while Shah’s two wickets and Rahul Khatri & Amar Pawaria’s one wicket apiece restricted the BCC to 131 runs in stipulated 20 overs for loss of 8 wickets.
In reply, Jammu United chased the target easily in 16.2 overs and registered six wickets win over the opponent team with the help of Amar Pawaria’s knock of 67 runs in 43 balls studded with 12 boundaries, whereas Aman Dingra and Pawan Parihar made 17 and 13 runs respectively.
Amar Pawaria was declared as Man of the Match of his overall performance.
