JAMMU, May 8: A grand celebration of leadership, discipline, patriotism and youth empowerment was held at Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu, creating an atmosphere filled with pride, enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy.
The programme was graced by chief guest Kanwaljeet Kour Anand, Chairperson of Taran Education Trust. The event began with a tilak ceremony, followed by a welcome address and patriotic renditions of “Vande Mataram” and the national anthem, which filled the campus with national spirit.
Students presented saplings and handmade cards symbolising gratitude and environmental awareness. Cultural performances including a welcome song and dance added colour to the celebration. Principal cum Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima addressed the gathering and motivated students to embrace leadership with humility, discipline and responsibility.
A disciplined march past showcased student coordination and confidence. Badges and sashes were presented to student council members, followed by oath-taking, where students pledged sincerity and service.
A street play on drug abuse under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat 100 Days Challenge,” associated with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, highlighted the dangers of substance abuse and promoted a drug-free society.
Director Operations Sunakshi Anand and Harleen Anand inspired students with motivational addresses. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Avneet Kour Budhraja and the National Anthem, leaving a strong message of leadership and responsibility.
