JAMMU, Dec 28: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu celebrated Annual Day with pomp and show at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University, here today.
Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Director, SKPA (Udhampur) was the Chief Guest on the occasion., while Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Director Information Development Co-operation and Shailendra Mishra, SSP Udhampur were  the guests of honour.
The programme was held on the theme ‘Navrasa’.
The word ‘Navrasa’ encompasses nine dance forms and accordingly the items were performed right from Shingar Rasa to Adhbudh Rasa including each and every dance emotions of the nine forms viz. Shingar, Hasya, Karuna, Rudra, Veer, Bhayanak, Vatsalaya, Adhbhudh and Shant Ras.
Prize Distribution took place where in winners of different curricular and co-curricular activities were acknowledged and were given medals and trophies by the chief guest and the guests of honour.
Mr Yadav highly appreciated the talent showcased by various dance forms and other mind blowing performances depicting multi-dimensional Indian Culture.
Chairperson of the School, Harpreet Singh Anand also appreciated the hardwork done by the students to make the annual function an unforgettable event.
Principal cum Vice-Chairperson, Rohini Aima presented the Annual Report of the school and highlighted the   progress in scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas.
The vote of thanks was presented by Mehak Ahmed, student of the institution.
