JAMMU, May 27: Defeating Jodhamal School by 7-3 in the summit clash, Jammu Red lifted the title trophy of the Jammu District Korfball Championship, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Korfball Association, here.
The half time score was 4-1in favour of Jammu Red. Main scorer from Jammu Red was Mohit Singh Bhau, who scored 3 goals, while Usman scored 2 goals. Alisha and Tamana scored 1 goal each. Earlier, in the first semifinal, Jammu Red beat Jammu Blue by 5-3, while in the second semifinal, Jhodhamal Public School defeated KC International by 6-2.
S.Tarlok Singh, president J&K Korfball Association was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed medals and trophies among the winners and runners-up teams.
The Tournament was organized under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
