Jammu Kings make it to final of J&K Peace T20 C’ship

JAMMU, Sept 9: Jammu Kings defeated Jammu Sunrisers by 4 wickets and made it to the final of the ongoing J&K Peace T-20 Championship, being organized by Vishal Cricket Club (VCC), Jammu and District Sports Council Jammu in collaboration with Sehwag Cricket Academy, here today.
Batting first, Jammu Sunrisers scored 133 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Daksh chipped-in half century, while Shehzad made 18 runs and Yuvraj scored 16 runs.
From Jammu Kings side, Abay took 2 wickets, while Uttkarsh and Usmaan scalped one wicket each.
In the second inning, Jammu Kings achieved the target in 18.3 overs by losing 6 wickets. Surya made 43 runs, while Kannav scored 27 runs and Usmaan chipped in 24 runs.
From Jammu Sunrisers side, Karmanya took 2 wickets, while Varinder, Kartik and Daksh scalped one wicket apiece.
Surya of Jammu Kings was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Vinod, Abrar and Suhail.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Jammu Superstars will lock horns with Jammu Tigers XI in the second semis at Parade ground.
