JAMMU, Oct Jammu Division Senior Selection events concluded here at Nek Hotel, below Gummat here.
14-year old Soham Kamotra won the title in a very tough fight.
The events were organised by All J&K Chess Association under the supervision of J&K State Sports Council.
Iqbal Singh was the observer from the Sports Council.
All the matches were conducted under the overall supervision of Atul Kumar Gupta, President All J&K Chess Association and conducted by Swiss Software by Vivek Bharti.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Baldev Raj, Taranvir Singh Gujral, Kuljeet Singh Jamwal, Raj Kumar and Vikas Nanda.
The Top seven players included Soham Kamotra, Sumit Grover, Akashdeep Singh Bhatia, Maxim Singh, Ajit Singh, Ankush Bhardwaj and SP Sharma.
Now, these 7 players will play with top 7 players of Kashmir division in state selection event to be held next month in Srinagar.
Top 8 players from the State will represent Jammu and Kashmir in the Senior Nationals to be held at Jammu in December 2018.
