JAMMU, Feb 18: Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council inaugurated the Jammu District Squash Championship in an impressive and well attended function at KC Sports Club, here today.
Twenty two players drawn from various Clubs of Jammu district participated in this Championship. The Championship is being organized by J&K Squash Rackets Association, with the support of KC Sports Club Jammu, and is being sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
President J&K Squash Rackets Association, Waseem Raja extended thanks to the organizing chairman, Arjun Chowdhary and organizing secretary, Sanjeev Sharma for providing logistic support for this Championship.
The inaugural match was played between Col Jasrotia and Ajay Kapoor, in which latter won by (9-11, 11-6, 11-6, 15-13).
The other matches of the Championship will be played tomorrow.
