Jammu district emerges overall winners in 10th J&K State Wushu C’ship

JAMMU, Mar 29: Jammu district emerged overall winners, whereas district Samba and district Srinagar secured first runner-up and second runner-up titles in the 10th J&K State Wushu Championship organised by Wushu Association  of J&K at Indoor Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
On the valedictory function, HK Lohia, IGP, Technical PHQ and President Wushu Association of J&K awarded the winners.
Lohia also honoured three (3) International  medalist for the year 2013 namely Pradeep for winning Gold medal in Lusofonia Games, Khalida Bhanu for claiming Gold medal in Lusofonia Games and Surya Bhanu Pratap singh for bagging Silver medal in the Honkong International championship.
While speaking, Lohia apprised the gathering about the achievements of the association during the year 2013 at National and International level.
He also hinted to host the International event in Indoor Hall Srinagar during the month of June or July.
Ranjeet Kalra, vice president of the Association presented vote of thanks.
Among others present were Vijay Saraf and Deepak Handa, vice presidents, Junaid Hashmi, Ajay Paul Gill, general secretary Kuldeep Handoo, Daljeet Singh and Sharat Chander Singh.
