Jammu boy wins laurels for country

JAMMU, Apr 7: The prodigy of Jammu, student of BSF Senior Secondary School Jammu, Onkar Singh again brought laurels for the country by winning the United Nations Frontier of Peace & Humanitarian Organization (UNFPHO) International Youth essay competition on Human rights & duties.
This contest was organized online at the website of United Nations. Onkar Singh of Jammu won this international level competition and is awarded by the membership certificate of United Nations Peace (IFPHO) organization.
He is chosen as the IFPHO peace representative of UN for the region of Jammu. He is the youngest person in the world to be chosen as the representative of International UN Frontiers of Peace & Humanitarian organization.
On April 5, 2020 he was awarded with the International award of NASA American Eagle Scouts 2020 by National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA), United States. He participated in this contest in November, 2019 where he gave scientific solutions to the problems faced by Astronauts during space travel.
He gave the credit of these successes to his parents, the school and teachers. He said, ‘I want to thank my Principal Dr. SK Shukla and teachers for their kind help.
