JAMMU, Dec 9: Toppling Bhavya Rakwal in two straight sets by (11-7, 16-4) in the semifinals, Jahanvi sealed berth in the finals and will lock horns with Shreya, who defeated Ritu Charak by (11-9, 14-12) in another seminal clash in the ongoing Jammu District Table Tennis Championship, being organized by the Jammu District Table Tennis Association under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex in MA Stadium, here.
Meanwhile, in sub junior boys, Diviyam trounced Anuj (3-2) in a tough semifinal contest by (11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 10-12, 11-9) and will face Ritvik Gupta in the finals, who got better of Manandeep by (4-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-8).
In Cadet boys, Hanumant beat Amrit Koul in semifinals by (11-8, 11-9, 11-10), while Ninad prevailed upon Amaan Gupta by (11-9, 11-6, 12-10).
In Youth boys, Gurvinder beat, Kashish Jain and Sunmeet by (11-8, 8-11, 11-8, 11-7) and (11-9, 11-8, 11-7) respectively, but lost to Jayesh Singh in the semifinals by (11-9, 12-10, 11-5).
Sunpreet Singh trounced Anuj Gupta and Tanveer by (11-9, 11-9, 9-11, 11-8) and Tanveer (11-9, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8)
Meanwhile, in junior boys category, Abhiraj drubbed Ninhad and Ritvik Gupta by (11-2, 4-11, 11-5) and (12-10, 11-6, 11-9) respectively but lost in the semifinal to Sunpreet by (11-9, 11-9, 11-9), while Assad toppled Lavyan and Dhruvin by (12-10, 11-7, 11-8) and (14-12, 12-14, 16-14, 12-14, 16-14) and lost in the semifinals to Diviyan by (14-12, 14-12, 14-12).
