VIJAYPUR, Dec 25: Former Minister and senior National Conference State Secretary Surjeet Singh Slathia today exhorted students to aim high and strive for excellence as sky is limit for them in this competitive world.
“Devotion and dedication holds key to success, be it academics or sports or extra-curricular activities”, Slathia said at the Annual Day function of Jagriti Shiksha Niketan High School, Village Badali in Vijaypur.
Slathia said times have changed and the parent-teacher combination has to maintain pace with the changing times in order to shape the destiny of younger people. He said good beginning is imperative for molding the future of younger people. Though grooming begins at home yet the children remain greatly exposed to atmosphere at the places of learning, he said while urging the school management to bear this fact in mind.
Slathia, who was chief guest at the function, expressed happiness over the academic environs of the school and hoped that the management will maintain best standards, keeping in view the intensity of competition in academics, sports and other activities in educational institutions across the country.
The former minister also urged parents to have frequent interaction with teachers so as to monitor the development of their children on regular basis.
He said that private schools have been greatly supplementing in spread of education and exuded confidence that this partnership will help the state to achieve higher level of literacy.
The school management presented annual report of the school and dwelt upon the achievements registered over the years.
Besides Principal Neeraj Sharma and Vice Principal Rajesh Dubey, prominent among those present on the occasion including Sarpanch Mohan Lal Sharma, Sodagar Gupta, faculty, parents and students.
