JAMMU, Dec 19: J&K Lawn Tennis Player Prinkle Singh again proved her mettle and stormed into the finals of All India Talent Series of AITA under 16 category going on at Ranjit Singh Memorial Complex, Company Bagh Amritsar.
Earlier in the semis, harleen kour did not turn up for the match and the referee declared Prinkle Singh as winner, who sailed into the finals.
In quarterfinal, prinkle singh defeated Nimrat Kaur Kang of Amritsar by two sets and the score remained 6-1 and 6-0.
Meanwhile, Sumitpal Singh another player of J&K also proved his worth and entered into the semis of the both under 16 and 18 categories.
n under 16 quarterfinal, Sumitpal clinched first set against Badola of Uttarakhand by 7-5 score and also pocketed second.
After winning second set, Sumitpal loosed his momentum and paved way for Badola to raise his level, who played well and equalized the game.
In the decider set, Sumitpal bounced back with enthusiasm and delivered good forehand strokes to claim the match by 7-5, 4-6 and 6-2 score.
In under 18 category, Sumitpal Singh thrashed Aryan of Uttrakhand easily by 6-2 score, whereas, in the second set, the later pplayed well and took the score card up by 5-1 score.
After that, Aryan needed only one game to equal the score but suddenly Sumitpal changed his strategy and pocketed all the game and claim the 2nd set by 7-5 score.
