J&K 281/3 on Day-1; Achintya, Hatim, Kamaksh score fifties

JAMMU, Dec 8: Achintya Raj Khajuria, Hatim Reyaz and Kamaksh Sharma scored brilliant half-centuries as Jammu and Kashmir scored 281 for 3 in 93 overs at stumps on Day-1 in the ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy match at Jamia Milia Islamia, today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, J&K rode on a magnificent opening partnership of 106 runs between wicketkeeper batter Kamaksh Sharma (68) and Salman Ahmad Bakshi (38) to start the innings with brilliance.
After the dismissal of openers, consistent Hatim Reyaz and skipper Achintya Raj Khajuria scored splendid fifties to finally take the score to 281 runs for the loss of three wickets. Hatim Reyaz contributed 75 runs off 137 studded with 12 boundaries, while Achintya contributed unconquered 78 runs off 138 balls with 8 boundaries. Dhruv Sharma was another batter on the crease on 10 runs. For Delhi, Dhruv Kr Chumbak took 2 wickets, while Saksham Gehlot claimed one wicket.
