JAMMU, Sept 8: Inter Zone and District Level Competitions, being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports in various disciplines were played at different venues.
JAMMU: Inter Zonal District Level Competitions in the disciplines of Kho-kho, Volleyball and Kabaddi for under-19 boys gets underway here at GHSS Domana, here today.
In Volleyball, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura Zone beat Satwari-Gandhi Nagar zone by 2-0 sets (25-12 and 25-17) in the first match, whereas Marh-Bhalwal smashed Arnia-Bishnah by 2-0 sets (25-06 and 25-16) in the second match and in the third match, Jammu-Dansal thrashed RS Pura-Miran Sahib by 2-0 sets (25-19 and 25-16).
In Kho-Kho, RS Pura-Miran Sahib beat Jammu-Dansal by 6 points in the first match, whereas in the second match, Jourian-Khour smashed Arnia-Bishnah zone by 2 points and in the third match, Bhalwal- Marh beat Gandhi Nagar-Satwari by 1 turn and 8 points.
In Kabaddi, Gandhi Nagar-Satwari beat Jammu-Dansal by 12 points in the first match, whereas in the second match, Arnia-Bishnah registered win over RS Pura-Miran Sahib by 9 points and in the third match, Bhalwal-Marh Zone defeated Akhnoor-Chowki Choura by 18 points.
DODA: Two days Divisional Level Inter District Tournament in the discipline of Kho-Kho commenced here at Sports Stadium.
In under-17 category, Reasi defeated Samba whereas Rajouri smashed Kishtwar. In under-14, Samba defeated Reasi and Udhampur thrashed Kathua.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner Doda, Narinder Singh Bali, who was the chief guest on the occasion.
