Inter School Zonal level competitions in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Wrestling begin

JAMMU, May 1: Inter School Zonal level competitions in the sports discipline of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Wrestling for boys and girls in the age group of Under-14 and Under-17 commenced today in various zones of Jammu province.
The two-day competitions are being organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports Jammu districts under the overall supervision of Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu.
RESULTS:
Zone Jammu: GHSS Sarwal won Kho-Kho Under-17 Boys final while in Kabaddi Under-17 Boys, GHS Rajpura Mangotrian won by 11 points, Jullaka Mohalla won by 11 points, Central Basic School registered win by 9 points, Tiny Tots School won by 9 points, SOS won by 7 points while Gole Panjpeer, Anuradha Mission School, Guru Nanak Mission School and Hari Singh School, Nowabad School and DBN School registered win by 7 points, 9 points, 16 points 8 points, 5 points and 14 points, respectively.
Zone Satwari: In Wrestling Under-14 Boys, Ranjeet Singh of GMS Makwal 32 Kg, Ankit Choudhary of GGHS Sohanjana 35 Kg, Shivjeet Singh of GGHS Sohanjana 38 Kg, Rohit Bhagat of GMS Makwal 41 Kg and Vishal Kumar of GMS Makwal registered win in 32 Kg, 35 Kg, 38 Kg, 41 Kg, 32 Kg and 45 Kg, respectively.
In Wrestling Under-17 Boys: Parveen Kumar of GGHS Sohanjana won in 42 Kg, Rockey Kumar of GGHS Sohanjana registered win in 46 Kg, Rahul Singh of HSS Mandal won in 50 Kg, Ansh Joshi of GGHS Sohanjana registered win in 75 Kg and Varun Singh of DM Vidhya Mandir Digiana won in 82 Kg.
In Kho-Kho Under 14 Boys, DB Vidhya Mandir beat GGHS Sohanjana by 1 point in final match while in Kho-Kho Under-17 Boys, GHS Mandal defeated GHS Bhour Camp by 2 points and GHS Sher Garh beat GHS Old Satwari by 1 point.
In Kabaddi Under-14 Boys, GMS Bhoure Chak beat GMS Sampuran Pur by 6 points, GHS Sure Chak thrashed GMS Rakhbandhu by 7 points and GMS Narwal Pain defeated GHS Laxmnpura by 6 points whereas in Kabaddi Under-17 Boys, GHS Shergarh beat GHS Raipur Satwari by 7 points and GHSS Mandal defeated GHS Surechak by 10 points.
In Volleyball Under-14 Boys, People Acadeny beat GMS Makwal by 2-0 set while in Volley Ball Under-17 boys, GHS Raipur Satwari defeated GHS Old Satwari by 2-0 set.
Zone RS Pura: In Kho-Kho Under-14 Boys, New Public School defeated Indra Memorial High School while in Kabaddi Under-17 Boys, HS Badyal Quazian beat New Public Brilliant School by 19 points, HSS Chakroi defeated GHS Seer Balah by 8 points, HSS Dablehar thrashed Holly Cross Convent by 2 points. In Volleyball Under-17 Boys, DAV RS Pura beat GHSS Sai by 2-0 sets and Indra Memorial defeated GHS Satryian by 2-0 sets.
Zone Marh: In Wrestling Under-14 Boys, Amit Kumar of MRLD, Sanjeev Salgotra of Manic Public School and Lovejeet Kaith of Modern Public School registered win in 35 Kg, 41 Kg and 68 Kg, respectively while Sunil Kumar of HS Gajansoo, Nitin Kaith of MRLD, Vipin Kaith of HSS Marh and Sultan Singh of MRLD won in 41-45 Kg, 51 Kg, 60 Kg and 71 Kg, respectively. In Volleyball Under-14 Boys, MRLD won the final from GHS Sangrampur by 2-1 sets while in Under-17, the 1st semi-final was won by GHSS Jhiri and the 2nd by GHSS Marh.
In Kabaddi Under-14 Boys, 1st semi-final was won by Manik Public School by 11 points and the 2nd was won by GMS Sohagni by 7 points while in Under-17 Boys, GHS Gajansoo beat GHS Burj Mandir by 8 points, Manik Public School defeated GHSS Marh by 18 points and MRLD thrashed GHSS Jhiri by 11 points. In Kho-Kho Under-14 Boys, the 1st semi-final was won by GHS Burj Mandir by one innings and 4 points whereas in Kho-Kho Under 17 Boys, MRLD won 1st semi-final by defeating GHS Shamachak by 5 points and GHS Burj Mandir won 2nd semi-final by 10 points.
Zone Arnia: In Volleyball Under-17 final, Joseph Convent defeated GHSS Alleh by 2 sets while in Kho-Kho Under-14 final, GHS Arnia one by 1 point and GHS Arnia defeated Saint Convent Arnia by 5 points in Kho-Kho Under-17 final. In Kabaddi Under-14 and Under-17 finals, Saint Joseph Convent School won by 17 points and 15 points, respectively.
Zone Majalta: In Kho-Kho Under-14 Boys final, GHSS Ghar Dhamma beat GMS Bharnara by 4 points. In Volleyball final, HS SK Ber beat MS Majalta while in Kabaddi final, GHSS Ghar Dhamma defeated GMS Majalta by 10 points. In Wrestling, GMS Bharnara, GMS Satrari and GMS Majalta registered win in 29 Kg, 32 Kg and 46 Kg, respectively.
Zone Panchari: In Kabaddi Under-17 Girls, High School Panjar defeated HSS Lander with 20-17 while in Under 14 Girls, Middle School Mir Sarthi beat MS Panchari with 20-10. In Kho-Kho Under-17 Girls, High School Panjar defeated HSS Lander with 16-11 while MS Panchari beat MS Barenda with 09-07 in Under-14 Girls. Rama Devi and Manasvi Devi remained winners in Yoga competitions.
