JAMMU, Apr 28: Inter School Tournaments in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Wrestling for Boys Under-14 and Under-17 years concluded at Govt. High School Jammu Cantt, here today.
The competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronize of Navin Agarwal its Director General and under the chairmanship of Rishi Kumar Deputy Director Youth Services & Sports, Jammu. Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu is the Vice Chairman of the Tournament.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Satwari Zone, Sroman Dogra.
In Kho-Kho Under-14 boys final, St. John’s Convent defeated Govt HS Old Satwari by 4-2 points. Rahul and Harish were the star performers. In Kho-Kho Under-17 boys final, St John’s Convent trounced Govt. HSS Bhour Camp by 6-3 points, with Anil and Shobit Singh emerged best scorers for the winning team.
In Kabaddi Under-17 boys final, Govt. HS Jammu Cantt defeated Govt. HSS Mandal by 37-09.
Vishal and Sumit were the best scorers.
In Volleyball Under-14 boys final, People Academy beat Govt. HS Jammu Cantt. by 2-0 sets, while in Volleyball Under-17 boys final, People Academy beat Banyan International School by 2-0 sets.
Meanwhile, Inter- School Tournament in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Wrestling for boys Under-14 and Under-17 years concluded under the supervision of Sarita Pandha, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Miran Sahib.
In Kho-Kho Under-14 boys final, Govt GHS Simbal Camp beat MMS Indian PS by 7-3, while in Kho-Kho Under-17 boys final, Govt HS Simbal Camp beat JKPP Miran Sahib by 9-4. In Kabaddi Under-14 boys, JKPP Miran Sahib defeated MMS Indian PS by 28-11 and in Kabaddi Under-17 boys, JKPP Miran Sahib trounced Govt HS Badyal Brahmana by 28-09.
