REASI, May 8: A two day Inter School Tournament of Zone Arnas concluded here today.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports officer Reasi, Dr Swaran Singh Chib.
During the tournament, the matches were conducted in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho and Wrestling under all age groups in which 172 students comprising 98 boy and 74 girl students drawn from various schools of Arnas Zone participated.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Ranjit Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Vikrant Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Naseer Ahmed, Vijay Kumar, Harjit Singh.
Under boys section, HSS Salal beat HSS Judda by 15 point with the score of 35-20 in Kabaddi,
HSS Arnas beat HSS Judda by 9 points with the score of 30-21 in Kho-Kho, HSS Dharmari thrashed HSS Chinkah by 2-1 in Volleyball while Sudershan Lal beat Mohd Imran, Angrez Singh defeated Rakesh Sharma and Rakesh Kumar thrashed Altaf Hussain in Wrestling.
In girls section, in U-14, GMS Arnas beat GMS Kanthan by 6 points with the score23-17 and in U-17, HSS Salal thrashed HSS Arnas by 12 points with the score 26-14 in Kabaddi while in U-14, GMS Arnas beat GMS Kanthan by 16 points with the score of 31-15 and in U-17, HSS Arnas defeated HS Chinkah by 11 points with the score of 26-15 in Kho-Kho.
