JAMMU, May 7: The Zonal Level Inter-School Tournament in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Wrestling of Bhalwal and Akhnoor Zones were held at Govt Higher Secondary School Bhalwal and Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, respectively.
In Bhalwal Zone, the Tournament was inaugurated by Chanchal Singh, Social Worker as the chief guest, while Principal GHSS Bhalwal was the guest of honour.
ZPEO Bhalwal, Jasbir Singh is the organizing secretary.
248 girls drawn from various institutions participated in the event.
In Kabaddi Under-14 girls, SD Memorial defeated MHAC Nagbani by 32-30, while in Kabaddi Under-17 girls, MHAC Nagbani drubbed GHS Raipur by (24-16).
In Volleyball Under-14 girls, KNIT Green defeated APS Domana by (2-1) sets, while in Volleyball Under-17, APS Domana got the better of GHSS Bhalwal by (2-0) Sets.
In Akhnoor Zone, SDM Akhnoor Gopal Singh declared the event open in presence of Suraj Singh Rathore, Principal Boys HSS Akhnoor, Sher Singh, Zonal Physical Education Officer Akhnoor and Nazeen, ZEO Akhnoor.
St Francis School, HSS Akhnoor emerged winners in Kabaddi Under-17 years, while AMIE Gurha Brahmana and Naveen Shiksha Kendra emerged winners in Kabaddi Under-14 category.
GHS Garkhal won Under-14 Kho-Kho title, while HSS Nararri Bala and GHS Sunai emerged winners in Under-17 Kho-Kho.
HSS Devipur and Gurah Brahmana won in Under-17 Volleyball competition.
