DODA, Aug 28: Army sponsored and co-organised inter school quiz, debate and skit competitions for eight schools, here today.
Approximately 1100 students from schools including Green Model High School, Shaheen Public School, Boys Higher Secondary School, Chenab Valley School and District Police Line School participated in the competitions.
Skits performed by students spread message of growth, social harmony and awareness on social challenges including girl child development, drug abuse and youth development.
Commanding Officer, Doda Rishtriya Rifle graced the event and distributed prizes to first three participants.
Addressing the students, he stressed upon the importance of students in nation building. He motivated them to study hard to graduate as engineers, doctors, planners, administrators, entrepreneurs and active contributors to countries social, economic and scientific growth.
Principals of schools, staff and locals said that such an event will go a long way in stimulating the importance of social harmony amongst the locals and students.
