JAMMU, Feb 2: Jammu and Kashmir Karate Council International organised 2nd Inter-School Karate Championship, under thje aegis of Karate Association of Indian (KAI) at Rotary Club, here.
Fourteen schools drawn from Jammu region took part in the event, which was held under the supervision of Rajan Jamwal, General Secretary SKCI J&K and Pooja Sharma, Director SKCI.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, while Ambedkar Gupta, General Secretary KAI and Gurmeet Kour Randhawa, Corporator Ward No-69 Sainik Colony were the special guests.
British International School won the overall trophy, while Shri Guru Gobind Singh Higher Secondary School and RM Public School were the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
The gold medallists included Anvita, Kunishka, Mayra, Tejas, Basikmir, Aadhiraj, Gaurang, Prachi Thakur, Pranav, Sajid, Mohd Irfan, Bhaumik, Mohd Salman, Danish, Harman, Haritjit, Gitanshu, Vishnu Bahl, Piyush, Aveleen, Smaksh, Kavish, Abhinaya, Shiven, Adhikshit, Jigmat, Samin, Vansh and Rashid.
