JAMMU, Nov 28: Three days Inter-School Football Tournament for under-19 boys being organised by International Daily Rising School (IDRS) in collaboration with the TRJ Academy Jammu and J&K Football Association Jammu commenced today.
Nine teams with more than 100 players from Jammu, Samba and Udhampur district are participating in the tournament. They are Sainik Colony FC, Star 69 FC, Udhampur FC, TRJ Academy, Inter-Real Huster FC, The Grounder FC, Barbard FC Chawadi, Dare Devil FC and City FC. The referees for today’s event were Sunil Singh and Shubham Koul.
On the occasion, the chief guest was Suchwant Singh, Ex Director, Agriculture Department, who inaugurated the tournament alongwith the Chairperson TRJ Academy Ricky Kumar and Director TRJ Academy Jonny Sharma. The guests of honour were Supinder Kaur, Chairperson IDRS and Raghav Gupta, MD IDRS.
The event was also graced by Dr Atul Hans, Principal-cum-Academic Director, officials, Ruchi Manhas, Vice Principal IDRS, Rakhi Jasrotia, Academic Coordinator IDRS, Aman Gupta, Sports Director IDRS, Bhavna Samyal and Manatmeen.
The chief guest inspired the players to show their talent in the true spirit of sportsmanship. He further emphasized that sports are greatly instrumental in shaping a child’s personality and this football tournament would definitely work as a confidence booster.
Dr Atul Hans, Principal-cum-Academic Director IDRS and also the Event Director for the tournament also addressed the gathering.
The tournament is being also supported by Avinash Lakhnotra, Varun and Shubam.
