JAMMU, Aug 31: Inter School Collage Competition on the topic ‘Earth Dances with Sky’ was held at Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, here today. Students of various CBSE schools of the city participated in the competition with zeal and enthusiasm.
Child Development Project Officer Ghagwal Priya Lakshami, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Sanjay Sharma, Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Jammu, Advocate Manoj Chopra, Editorial Cartoonist, Punjab Kesari and renowned artist of national repute, Al Nasir were the Judges of the competition.
The collages prepared by the students expressed their ardent desire to preserve our environment.
Through their creativity they projected a world which is green and serene. It is the need of the hour that the youth subjected to digital era be sensitized towards conservation of our environment.
The chief guest Priya Lakshmi, appreciated the collages made by students and also lauded their creativity, vision and hard work.
She further congratulated the Sahodaya cohort for giving an apt platform to herald a green and prosperous world.
KC International School won the first prize whereas second and third prizes were bagged by Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School and Stephen International School respectively.
Certificates of merit were also awarded to MV International School, Air Force School, Jammu and Jammu Sanskriti School.
A short and impressive cultural programme was also presented by the students of the host school.
