JAMMU, May 27: The Inter District Division Level Competitions in different games for Under-19 Boys and Girls were held at different venues, here today.
In Table Tennis competitions held at MA Stadium, Jammu girls’ team bagged gold and Samba got the silver medal while District Poonch got gold and Jammu silver in boys’ competition. In Hockey matches played at KK Hakku Stadium, both boys’ and girls’ teams of Poonch won gold while Jammu got silver in both boys’ and girls’ events.
Similarly, District Kathua boys’ team bagged gold in Badminton competition while Jammu got 2nd position. In girls’ badminton event, District Samba trounced District Kathua and won gold while Kathua got silver and Jammu has to be satisfied with bronze. The matches were played at MA Stadium.
The competitions are being organized under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports Subhash Chandra Chibber under the guidance of JD-YSS Jammu Suram Chand Sharma and under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma. All the participants took part with full strength and stamina to show their best in the competition to reach next level.
