Jammu Aug18: The Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, Jammu organized Inter- Collegiate Cross Country (Men) Championship 2015-16 at Jammu University New Campus in which 18 Athletes from 9 colleges took part.
Kulbir Singh of G.D.C Samba clinched gold medal by completing the race in 53.16mins. Whereas YashpalTinku of S.P.M.R College of Commerce and Sunil Singh of G.D.C Samba stood 2nd and 3rdpositionsby completing the race in 58.20 mins and 58.32mins respectively.
Prof. R.D.Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Jammu flagged off the race. Others dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof. Keshav Sharma, Registrar University of Jammu, Prof. Dhian S. Bhau Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, Ajaz Malik, Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Rakesh Puri, SdrMandeep Singh ,ShJaswant Singh, NarayaniJamwal, Dr.Mohinder Singh, Dr.Sandhya (GDC Samba), Sh. Nirmal Singh (Athletic Coach), SdrHarsimran Singh (Athletic coach) ,ShRomesh Sharma, Raj KumarBakshi, Gagan Kumar, S Vikas Karlopia,SdrP.D.Singh and Jai Bharat.
