JAMMU, Sept 18: Inter Collegiate Chess and Volleyball Tournaments of Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), organized by Department of Students Welfare CLUJ concluded here today.
In the final matches of Chess Men and Women Tournament, Prof Poonam Dhawan, Dean Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Jammu was the chief guest.
In men section, Government MAM College defeated GGM Science College 3.5-0.5 and in women section, SPMR College of Commerce beat GGM Science College by 3-1.
Prof PK Sharma Principal Government MAM College, Dr Geetanjali A Rana, Dean Faculty of Arts, Dr Twinkle Suri Dean Students Welfare, Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator, CLUJ, Prof Rakesh Koul, Prof Davinder K Sharma, Neelam, Assistant Physical Director Government MAM College and Pawan Giri Assistant Physical Director GGM Science College were also present.
The matches were officiated under the supervision of Sushil Kumar.
Meanwhile, the girls of GCW Gandhi Nagar defeated College of Education by 3-0 and lifted the CLUJ Volleyball Trophy. The final match was played at GCW Gandhi Nagar. Ranjeet Kour of College of Education and Rifat Choudhary of GCW Gandhi Nagar played brilliantly.
Prof Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Controller Examination and Dean School of Education, Cluster University of Jammu was the chief guest.
Dr Vinod Bakshi Sports Coordinator, CLUJ and Physical Director GGM Science College, Dr Mandeep Singh Co-Coordinator Sports and Physical Director College of Education, Prof Surinder Sharma, Prof Rajinder Sharma, Prof Sunil Dutt, Prof Mushtaq Ahmed, Dr Roopali Salathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar, Pawan Giri Assistant Physical Director GGM Science College and Anil, Assistant Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar were also present.
The match was officiated by Amit Jamwal, Bhavna Sharma, Aman Sharma and Riya Jamwal.
