JAMMU, Dec 21: Government College of Education (GCoE) Jammu hosted inter-college Table-Tennis competition for men and women, wherein students from the constituent colleges of Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) participated, here today.
The programme started with the national anthem, wherein Prof Satish Sharma from GCoE Jammu was the chief guest and Dr Jyoti Parihar was the guest of honour and Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator CLUJ was the special guest in the event.
Ramandeep Karalia, Physical Director of GCoE coordinated the overall event. Players participated in the event with a lot of enthusiasm and played the sport in the spirit of the game.
In men’s Table Tennis competition, the overall trophy was won by SPMR College of Commerce by defeating GGM Science College by 3-0, while in women’s competition, the overall trophy was won by PSPSGCW Gandhi Nagar by defeating GGM Science College by 3-0.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Ratra and Madam Rekha Ratra.
The programme was attended by Prof Rubina Yasmeen, Prof Vinay Lata, Prof Shamboo Nath, Dr Deep Kumar Bangotra from GCoE Jammu, Ajaz Malik, Physical Director from Govt SPMR College and Dr Rupali Salathia, Assistant Physical Director, PSPSGCW Gandhi Nagar along with non-teaching and supporting staff.
