KATHUA, Feb 15: Government Degree College, Kathua today organised Inter College Sports Festival, 2020.
In final match of Football, GDC Kathua defeated Government Degree College, Hiranagar by 3-2. The first, second and third goals were scored by GDC Kathua players, Randeep Sadhra, Ayush and Parmveer in 24th, 30th and 32nd minutes of the game while the opponent team player Arun scored two goals in 25th and 48th minutes of the game.
Prof Ravi Kumar was the match Referee while Sanjay Kumar, Naveen Singh and Sushil officiated the match as Referee and Line man and Prof Ajay Sharma was the coach of the GDC Kathua team and Prof Parveen Sharma represented GDC Hiranagar team.
In first Kabaddi Semi-final, GDC Basholi outplayed GDC Hiranagar by 40-26. Sartaz Singh, Parveen Singh and Tanveer Singh were the match referees.
In 2nd Kabaddi (Men) semi-final, GDC Kathua defeated GDC Mahanpur by 31 points.
In Kho-Kho (Women) semi-final, GDC Basholi defeated GDC Mahanpur by 7-6 with 4.30 minutes left. Sandeep Sharma, Jagmohan and Palwinder Singh were the In-charge and Referees of this competition.
In Kho Kho (Women), Women College Kathua outplayed GDC, Hiranagar by 05 points.
In Table Tennis (Women), the final match was played between GDC Kathua and GDC Marheen in which former was declared the winner by 3-0 and lifted the trophy. While in Table Tennis (Men), GDC Hiranagar defeated GDC Kathua by 3-1 and bagged the trophy.
In Cricket, GDC Hiranagar clinched the match from GDC Basholi by 18 runs. Harish from GDC Hiranagar scored highest 36 runs and was declared man of the match.
The sports festival was organized under the guidance of GDC, Kathua Principal, Prof Assa Ram Sharma and supervised by Physical Director, Dr Balbinder Singh and other Associated Physical Directors, Jogbinder Singh Soodan, Sandeep Sharma, Vikram Jamwal and Ravi Kumar.
