UDHAMPUR, Mar 30: Bhaskar Degree College Udhampur organized an inter-college debate competition on the topic “Is Indian woman fully empowered in the patriarchal society?” in collaboration with ICDS Udhampur under the flagship programme “Beti Bachao Beti Padao”, here today.
The event was commenced with the lighting of lamp by the Chairperson of the College, Madhu Khajuria, Principal of the College Dr SK Magotra, Dr Anita Bali, Principal Bhartiya College of Education, Dr BL Raina, HoD M.Ed Dept, Prof PL Suri and Dr Pankaj Sharma from GDC Udhampur.
The proceedings of the event were carried on by Prof Bindu Salaria.
Participants of various colleges including GDC Udhampur, GDC Ramnagar, and Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur participated with full zeal and enthusiasm and presented their views.
The event was judged by Dr Pankaj Sharma, Prof Joginder Singh and Prof Pinaki Bakshi.
The first prize was clinched by Akshita Sharma of BDC Udhampur, 2nd prize by Charvi Kalsotra of GDC Udhampur and Unzila Jan of BDC Udhampur bagged 3rd prize.
The participants were felicitated with consolation prizes and certificate of participation.
