Jammu, Aug 8 : The First Western Air Command, Inter Air Force School Basketball Championship for girls concluded at the Air Force School, here today. Five Air Force schools of the Western Air Command participated in the championship, which included AFS Pathankot, AFS Ambala, AFS Sarsawa, AFS Chandigarh and the host team AFS Jammu.
The final match of the championship was played between AFS Chandigarh and AFS Ambala, wherein AFS Ambala won in a thrilling contest, while AFS Chandigarh emerged runners-up and AFS Pathankot bagged third spot.
Air Commodore P E Patange YSM VM, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Jammu was the chief guest for the occasion. Among other dignitaries present were Gp Capt S Pati, C Adm O, Gp Capt S Sridhar COO, Gp Capt. Sunil Kumar VM CEO Air Force Station Jammu and Flt Lt Karishma Sethi Officer-in-Charge Air Force School, Jammu. Air Commodore Patange presented medals & trophies to the winners and participation certificates to all the participants of the championship.
Vikesh Sandhal, Principal, Air force School Jammu also spoke on the occasion.
