JAMMU, Oct 8: The Junior Women Indian Volleyball team thrashed Iran by three sets to nil (3-0) to advance in the ongoing event today.
Earlier, riding on fabulous display by blocking skills by Preeti and Anushree, smashing display by Athira and Shilpa coupled with extraordinary defence by Bincy and Ruksana, India won the first set by 25-18, second by 25-08 and the third by 25-15 to win the game by (3-0).
India would lock horns with Korea for 5th and 6th place tomorrow.
