India crushes Bangladesh in crucial league match by 57-20

Defending Champion India today played up to its status in all crucial league match of the World Cup Kabaddi 2016 against Bangladesh and defeated them convincingly by 57-20. In the first match of the day, last time runners up Iran had to face unexpected fight from Kenya but the Persian team managed to win by a close margin of 32-28 in the thrilling match.
In the second match, in the beginning the Bangladesh team looked well prepared and put some psychological pressure on the hosts by quick back to back points taking the score to 4-4. But soon India started to respond strongly and by the end of the first half it was completely in a dominating position with the score of 27-10.
It inflicted two all outs on Bangladesh in the first half. By winning the match India, which after the upset by Korea looked worried about its prospects to reach the semis, now leads the points tally in Pool A with 11 points from two wins and an embarrassing defeat by South Korean team in the opening encounter.
It had won its second match against Australia. Korea with two wins and 10 points is on the second place after India in its pool. Today Ajay Thakur of India scored 12 points and become the super raider. (UNI)
