Inclusive Sports Festival organized

BIJBEHARA, May 16: An Inclusive Sports festival was organized here today, in which children with disabilities teamed up with normal children to compete in different sports.
The festival was organized by a local NGO Humanity Welfare Organization Helpline.
Students from three local schools participated and teamed up with disabled children to take part in different games.
Cricket match, Carrom, Badminton matches and other games were played as a part of the festival.
Chairman of the HWOW, Javed Ahmad Tak, said 130 participants took part in the festival.
“The festival is aimed at breaking barriers between disabled and normal children in the society,” Tak said.
He said that the festival was also aimed at capacity building of the children with disabilities.
The festival was presided by Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Bijbehara, Abdul Gani Bhat and Zonal Education Planning Officer (ZEPO) Ghulam Nabi Bhat.
Prizes were also distributed among the winners and medals were given to the participants.
