JAMMU, Jan 28: Indira Memorial Academy (IMA), RS Pura celebrated Annual Sports Day with great zeal and zest, here.
The Sports Meet was declared open with the emancipation of balloons by the Chairman, Nitin Mahajan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman said that the motto of the institution is not only to excel in academics but also to provide a platform to the students in curricular and co-curricular activities.
The students performed in various sports events during the day.
The sports items included Running race, Spoon marble race, Frog jumping, Sake race, Balloon bursting, Find the coin, Musical chair, Needle thread, Bucket ball, Eating fast and Hanging balloons etc.
On the occasion, Principal Ekta Mahajan said that the school has excelled in almost all the spheres, be it academic, sports or cultural.
She read out the Annual report of students on the achievement in various fields.
As many as 45 medals were awarded to the students on the occasion.
The students who were honoured with medals included Jagvinder, Naresh, Ruhi, Anjali, Ansh, Kanishka, Anuj, Vishal, Kanika, Anurag, Rihaan, Rohit, Dilshan, Sahil, Arti, Ishmeet, Samarth, Ravi, Vipul, Parveen, Abinash, Gagan, Reyansh, Ayush, Khushi, Rahul, Shiwani, Bhumika, Aradhiya, Muskan and Reeya.
The staff members Sheetal, Davinder Kour, Sangeeta, Rachna, Neha, Vidhushi, Stenny, Reetu, Kiranjot, Sarista and Neelam were also present.
