JAMMU, May 5: The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre, IIT Jammu, organized a one-day SEED (Student Enrichment through Engineering and Design) programme for 30 students of Army Public School, BD Bari. The students, accompanied by teachers Ishan Raina and Meetu Saini, gained early exposure to engineering concepts through hands-on learning.
The highlight of the programme was an interactive session on RC car engineering conducted by Prof. Navneet Kumar. Students were introduced to components such as Arduino Uno, motor drivers, batteries and Bluetooth modules. They actively participated in assembling and disassembling RC cars, enhancing their understanding of mechanical and electronic integration along with teamwork and analytical skills.
The session was supported by Mohammad Israil, Namrit Bhardwaj, Sahil Sharma, and Priyanka Manhas. The programme concluded with certificate distribution, where five students were awarded Level-02 “Young Tinkerer” badges. The initiative reflects IIT Jammu’s commitment to fostering innovation and scientific temper among young learners.
