JAMMU, Feb 7: Ice Ski Training got underway at Kargil’s First Indoor Ski Rink today.
It was for the first time some youth came forward to provide training to beginners focusing on children’s in the first Indoor Ice Ski Rink of Kargil near International Guest House Main Market Kargil.
Wasim Akram the coach while interacting with AIR Kargil told that he himself has faced lots of problem during his initial days of Ice Ski and used to travel Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium or somewhere near the river bank to learn the game.
He added it is very fortunate that Downhill Kargil has established Indoor Ice Ski Rink in the heart of the city which will surely help in producing the future champions from Kargil.
Imtiyaz Ali Khan of Downhill Kargil said that there is lot of scope for adventure sports in Kargil and Downhill Kargil promotes these games like mountain bike, snow biking, Ice Ski, Snow Ski etc and hoped that soon Kargil will become a hub for adventure sports.
