Hyderya Sports FC scripts win, SFCA holds Downtown FC to 1-1 draw

SRINAGAR, July 27: Hyderya Sports FC scripted empathic win over Lonestar KFC by a solitary goal, whereas in another match which was played between SCFA and Downtown Hero’s FC ended in 1-1 draw in the ongoing Professional Football League-2021, being organised by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground, here today.
The first match was played between Hyderya Sports FC and Lonestar KFC. Both the Clubs started the game with dominating approach and tried hard to find the net. However, both the teams got ample opportunities to score the goal but every time they missed the target.
In the 2nd half, the young Turks of Hyderya Sports FC made various attempts to secure goal but their attempts were foiled by strong defence line of LKFC. In the last minute of the game, the Hyderya Sports FC was awarded a penalty kick for rough tackling inside the penalty area and Shahnwaz made no mistake to convert it into a goal. Thus Hyderya Sports FC trounced LKFC by a solitary goal. Salah Shafi of Hyderya Sports FC was declared as man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between SCFA and Downtown Hero’s FC. The young squad of SCFA gave a tough resistance to Downtown Hero’s FC and foiled the sure shot chances of Downtown Hero’s FC to secure goal as the 1st half ended with goalless draw.
In the 60th minute of the 2nd half, the Downtown Hero’s FC was able to convert a free kick in the goal and took the lead through Hanan. After conceding a goal, the SCFA boys dominated the scene for a long time and tried their best to equalize. They made certain beautiful moves for securing the goal but didn’t succeed. It was in the last minute of the match when SCFA made tremendous move at the goal and scored a brilliant goal through Afnan and levelled the margin and thus the match ended in a 1:1 draw. Afnan was declared as man of the match.
The J&K Bank XI will face Shaheen Sports FC at 3 pm while Hyderya Sports FC to lock horns with Kashmir Avengers FC at 5 pm on tomorrow at same venue.
