JAMMU, July 27: J&K Sqay players shined in the ongoing 2nd virtual Artistic Sqay National Championship by clinching two Gold medals and one Bronze, being organised by Sqay Federation of India in collaboration with University of Chandigarh.
On 2nd day of the ongoing championship, Seerat Jan from Srinagar won the Gold in K-1 women category, whereas Younis Tak of Shopian clinched another Gold medal in K-2 category and Mir Arsalan Mehraj win Bronze medal in K-1 men category.
On this occasion, Minister of Port, Shipping, Waterways and Tourism Government of India, Shripad Yesso Naik was the chief guest, whereas Vice Chancellor University of Chandigarh was the guest of honour during the event of the opening ceremony.
The tournament is being held under the chairmanship of Grand Master Mir Nazir, Dr Mahesh Jaitley HoD Sports University of Chandigarh and office bearers of the Sqay Federation of India which will culminate on July 29.
