Samba, Aug 30: Government Higher Secondary School Sumb won Under-19 boys volleyball and kho-kho titles in the Inter-School Tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Kehli Mandi Ground, here.
Earlier, in Under-19 boys volleyball final, HSS Sumb drubbed Kushan Public School in straight sets by (2-0) , while in Under-19 boys kho-kho summit clash, HSS Sumb got better of HSS Nud by one point in a tough contest.
At Ghagwal zone, in kho-kho Under-19 girls, HSS Rajpura trounced HSS Ghagwal, while at Purmandal zone, in volleyball and kabaddi Under-19 boys, HSS Smailpur defeated HSS Purmandal.
Meanwhile at Vijaypur zone, in volleyball Under-19 boys, Jyoti Public School Vijaypur outplayed Vaid HSS Vijaypur by (2-1) sets, while in kabaddi Under-19 boys, HSS Vijaypur defeated Jyoti Public School Vijaypur by 5 points.
The Tournament, in which over 500 students from five zones participated, was held under the overall supervision of Jarpal Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba.
