JAMMU, Aug 23: Government Higher Secondary School Satwari registered a thrilling win by one point over Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar in the summit clash and claimed the U-19 girls kho-kho title in the ongoing Inter-School tournament of Satwari and Gandhi Nagar zones at Government Boys High School Jammu Cantonment, here.
The tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu and conducted under the supervision of Kiran Jyoti, zonal physical education officer, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Earlier, after a hard fought contest, HSS Satwari prevailed upon HSS Shashtri Nagar by six points to five to script an exciting win by just one point.
The volleyball and kabadi Under-19 girls finals would be held tomorrow.
The matches were officiated by Chanderkanta, Saleem-ur-Rehman, Hardev Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Ramesh Padha, Jitender Kour, Tarseem Lal, Jasvir Kour, Satvir Kour and Suraj Kour, while Bunty Jad maintained the office records.
