HSS Durga Nagar organises rally to save environment

JAMMU, Sept 11: Govt Mixed Higher Secondary School, Durga Nagar, Jammu organised an impressive rally to save environment which was attended by hundreds of students of the institution alongwith staff members, here today.
The rally carrying ply-cards and banners depicting concerned captions, slogans and appeals passed through the populous areas of Kral Bab Ashram, Shardha Mandir, Main Market of Bantalab and its main chowk to pull the reasonable crowd for percolating the sense and spirit of the programme in them.
The Principal of the institution, Dr Sanjay Pandita said that our Prime Minister is paying more and more attention to environment and ecology on which human existence depends and the maintenance of which is now increasingly being considered essential for mankind.
He further stated that it is their collective and bounden duty to protect and preserve all the components of ecology viz healthy air, drinkable water, quality soil, plants, wild life, forests etc which constitute the rich natural bio-diversity.
Another school administrator, Bharat Bushan emphasised that the civic and productive people of the country should take pledge to reverse the ecological crisis through proper measures.
