JAMMU, Mar 14: Senior Hockey tournament for men of District Jammu, organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K Sports Council, inaugurated at Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here today.
The inaugural match was played between Khalsa Junior and AKS Digiana, which was won by AKS Digiana by 2 goals to nil. The 1st goal was secured by Sukhvinder Singh and 2nd goal was netted by Sarabjit Singh.
The tournament was inaugurated by Rajinder Singh, senior vice president Hockey J&K in presence of Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi (Secy. General Hockey J&K), Ishan Sharma (Treasurer Hockey J&K), Dr Karanbir Singh (Secy. Hockey J&K), Tajinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Gurjit Singh and others.
The match was officiated by a technical panel of experts including Hardeep Singh, Ishtiaq Hussain, Tajinder Singh, Balmeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh and D. Singh.
Tomorrow: MBS Club Simbal vs Dashmesh Club and Khalsa Warriors vs Bandu Rakh will lock horns against each other.
